WaterREC Energy is developing a closed-loop hydroelectric concept that evaluates how controlled water circulation, energy recovery, equipment selection, and system sizing can support sustainable power research and prototype development.

Conceptual System

A controlled loop for modeling and optimization.

The technology architecture studies the interaction between hydraulic head, delivery pathways, turbine recovery, lower reservoir capture, and pump-assisted recirculation. Current work is focused on engineering development, feasibility analysis, performance estimation, and prototype validation.

Upper storage

An engineered elevated storage stage provides controlled hydraulic head for evaluation.

Water delivery

Water is routed through designed conveyance pathways under modeled operating conditions.

Turbine

Energy recovery is evaluated through turbine selection, operating ranges, and system behavior.

Lower reservoir

Discharged water is captured in a lower reservoir for managed recirculation.

Return pump

A return pump supports closed-loop recycling and enables system-level performance studies.

Continuous recycling

Water circulation is modeled as an integrated loop, subject to validation and optimization.
